Cyber Brain is the fifth boss of R-Type Leo. Like most other bosses, its overall design possesses a bio-mechanical emphasis. It shuffles very quickly to the top and bottom of the right-hand side of the screen, attached to a set of purple and grey tubes resembling giant veins.
Cyber Brain has three attacks:
- a spread of 8 small orange blasts;
- a pair of two long blue or orange horizontal laser beams;
- and an absolutely massive beam which takes up most of the screen space, forcing the player to move to the top or bottom of the screen rapidly.
During the boss battle, player-indestructible platforms float upwards and downwards. Any such platforms present on the screen during the Cyber Brain's activation of its 3rd, largest beam attack are wiped out, only to be replaced the next moment by new ones.
Cyber Brain has 4 color schemes to indicate damage progressively taken.
It has been renamed to Ruinsloiger in R-Type Final 2.
