Dokan is a mechanical lift unit built to provide Cannons with a greater angle of attack. These platforms constantly move vertically and are one of the few true navigation hazards encountered in Bydo fortresses. It's rendered highly indestructible.

• There is a creature in the Roblox creature-catching game Loomian Legacy which shares the same name with the enemy in R-Type. It's unknown whether this is a coincidence or if the said creature was intentionally named after the enemy.
