Scant is a green humanoid mech that is functionally similar to Gydocker, Gains (which would replace this model in future missions) and distantly related to Tabrok. Once used by the Space Corps, it's now under Bydo control. It will try to level itself with invaders, taking time to aim before firing a beam nearly identical to a Standard Wave Cannon, but without the charging factor. It seems likely that the Scant itself could either be a prototype or predecessor to the more well-known Gains encountered in future missions.

A human mobile weapon captured by the Bydo. Capable of firing a condensed wave charge similar to the R9's.

It's also known as "Armoroid".
